Line Rider

I still find myself addicted to this Game over a month after discovering it. It's the best thing to do when you're at work in one of those meetings that you don't really need to be part of (and no one can see your screen). There are some video captures of some very elaborate creations. My suggestion to the author is to create an exporter so users could export their ride (with a link back of course) to use on other web sites. This is addicting...you have been warned.

Jellyfish Invasion

Jellyfish invasion is far more interesting than my humble Asian Beetle Invastion Perhaps I should create a music video. I love the use of the Jaws footage.

Asian Beetle Invasion

I've lived in North Carolina for seven years now. This is the first time I've experienced the Asian Ladybug or beetle invasion. They turn up all over the house. It seems that they prefer to winter indoors rather than under tree bark like most self respecting America lady beetles. They were introduced to this country to control aphids. I think I'd rather have them than pesticide in my house. I'd also rather have them than roaches.

Some Canoe/Dog Photos from Saturday

Here are a few photos from a canoe trip on Jordan Lake (NC) last Saturday. I was a kayak paddle short for my friend so we decided to take the canoe. There's room for a dog in the canoe, so Maggie came along too. The weather was warm for November with a high in the upper 70's. I photoshopped one of these for www.noople.net.

The best/weirdest part of the trip was when we ran into two hunters who had just finished butchering a deer on the bank. I think we surprised them. It was a weird Deliverance kind of vibe. Maggie barked and growled, no doubt sensing that something was wrong with the scene. Maybe it was the guy carrying the deer head by the antlers...maybe it was the guy throwing the rest of the evidence in the water! Cue banjo music...
